The story begins with two distinct individuals: Co-founders David and Bianca Lisonbee. First, meet David Lisonbee. Here’s a man who knows how to create his own opportunities. Even in his youth, David made things happen with some reflective paint and a gallon of ambition. “I painted addresses on curbs to help pay for college,” David recalls. Pulling out his brushes and hitting the streets by dawn, David cleaned and painted curbs all day. Then he went home, cleaned up, and headed back out to the neighborhood where he’d been working. “I worked completely by donation,” David explains, “asking homeowners to contribute what they considered a fair price for my service.” Six Silver Dollars
One evening, after a particularly long day of painting, David knocked on a door he’ll never forget. A woman answered and, when she saw the care with which David had cleaned and painted her curb, she asked him to wait on the porch and disappeared back into the house. She emerged a few moments later to place six silver dollars in his palm. “Well done!” was all she said.
David took those six silver dollars home and, instead of spending them, placed them where he could see them every day. Why? Because they reminded him of a lesson that, years later, he has always remembered: That a job well done has rewards above and beyond simply being paid. In fact, the significance of these six coins remains a 4Life Leads tradition today — The Life Rewards Plan was designed to reward the persistence, effort, thoughtful care, and diligence that goes into a job well done.

And What’s Bianca Lisonbee Like with 4life leads?Bianca has never been one to wait for things to happen. Why? Simply put, it’s in the genes; Bianca’s family tree is filled with proactive folks who, if given the choice to take the easy road or the initiative, would choose the latter every time.
Bianca’s grandparents migrated to America from Italy in the early 1900’s, having heard that the streets were paved in gold. “What they found instead was a whole lot of mud,” Bianca laughs. But her grandfather, Salvatore Lupo, didn’t linger long in disappointment. Through persistence, and more than a little Italian charm, he built a solid clientele for his little shop, The Central Grocery. During The Depression, Salvatore salvaged the dignity of those who couldn’t afford food by offering them odd-sized chunks of cheese for free, insisting that he couldn’t sell cheese that way (never mind that Salvatore was in the back room throughout the day, intentionally cutting cheese into odd-sized chunks).
How did this impact Bianca? “More than his entrepreneurialism, I’ve always stood in awe of my grandfather’s humanitarianism. He used his success to create success for others.” As you’ll see in the Opportunity section, Bianca’s reverence of her grandfather’s win/win attitude was a formative influence in 4Life’s Lead Rewards Plan.
Combine David’s optimism with Bianca’s vision, and the result: Co-founders who don’t give up when it comes to pursuing their goal.
