GENEVA (Reuters) - The risk of a human influenza pandemic remains real and is probably growing as the bird flu virus becomes entrenched in poultry in more countries, health officials warned on Tuesday.

Some 150 experts are attending a meeting hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO) to update its guidance to countries on how to boost their defences against a deadly global epidemic.

The H5N1 avian flu virus has infected flocks in much of Asia, Africa and parts of Europe. Experts fear it could mutate into a form that passes easily from person to person, sparking an influenza pandemic that could kill millions.

The risk of a pandemic remains and is probably expanding, said Dr. Supamit Chunsuttiwat, a disease control expert at Thailand’s health ministry who is chairing the four-day meeting.

Every couple of years a new virus comes along that no known drug will cure. For example, the herpes virus, or the West Nile virus, or the SARS virus, or the rhino virus, or the Asian flu virus, or the bird flu virus, or any bacteria or infection - any pathogen - they all spread in the same way. The virus enters a host cell via an enzyme that temporarily dissolves the cell wall. Once inside the cell, it changes the code or program of the cell, feeds on the nutrients within the cell, multiplies, re-dissolves an exit from the cell and an entrance to the adjoining cells, and spreads exponentially. This is a very simple explanation of a very complex event.

In 1992, the famous Dr. Matthias Rath revealed that the AIDS virus could be successfully treated with the natural enzyme blocking action of lysine for 0.00 a year. This proved so successful that in 1996 the pharmaceutical industry developed a stronger artificial lysine, complete with drug side effects, that could be patented and would do the same thing for ,000.00 a year. They didn’t have colds or flu or hay fever or asthma or breast cancer among others.

As you can see, the solution is also simplified.
