Have you ever been caught up in the moment and joined am MLM deal before you thoroughly checked them out? I have talked to thousands of people over the years about home based businesses, some you realize are just MLM junkies that can’t help themselves. You know the ones I’m talking about - right? Jumping from deal to deal to try and catch the next big wave to financial freedom. Stop the insanity is all I have to say. There are thousands of companies out there to choose from and you just need to be diligent in which one you team up with. Here’s some tips and suggestions prior to joining.

You need to check out and review the company, products/services, compensation plan and policies and procedures. Each company is different and you have to ask lots of questions. Don’t be fooled or pressured into joining if you don’t want to. Learn the powerful word of “NO”. Having been around for the past 10 years in network marketing, I picked up a few valuable lessons along the way.

Tip #1

Go with established companies versus the new companies. If the products or services are good, the company will be around in 2 or 3 years and be better. Don’t believe believe about getting in on the ground floor. I really have grown to hate that term and I think it leaves a bad taste in people’s mouths. So in reviewing thousands of companies over the years, MLM companies like Matol and Melaleuca stand out for being established and solid financially. You don’t have to like or hate the companies, but understand, they are solid companies.

I am not affiliated with Matol by the way, but I am using them as an example to point out, if you are considering an MLM company, then Matol has the history and stability that would be important to me. Again, search the Internet, but do lots of research on the various companies.

One of the biggest changes in MLM when you compare Amway in the early years to today, are the ways in which people are building their home based business. Many people today are being asked to and buying leads, including Matol leads. Nothing would please me more than seeing all of the lead generation companies going bankrupt. Sounds harsh, but I have some valid personal observations and reasons for taking this stand. For example, buying Matol leads, means someone saw a nice flashy lead capture page, advertising how they could make 5 to 10 thousand or more a month with very little effort. That is a complete distortion of what it takes to make several thousand a month in MLM.

Making money in any business, takes time, patience, careful planning and that four letter word called work. Many people that I have talked to have a lotto mentality of getting rich overnight. It just doesn’t work that way and the lead generation companies are a lot like lotteries. They advertise their Matol leads for example are fresh and responsive. Only to find out after the first 10 or 20 calls, most people have no idea what you are talking about. So not only have you wasted time but your hard earned money buying worthless Matol leads.

The sad reality is, lead generation companies will over sell your Matol leads or any company specific leads to earn multiples on each prospect that fills out that lead capture page. My strong advice is to produce your own leads by utilizing a system from Veretekk or the new and innovative, stress free way is to Buy Customers.

It seems like things are changing so fast these days with technology and they are for the good. One thing that has not changed is that you need a strong foundation of customers to make money. It does not matter what your business is. No customers equals no profits. If you analyzed every successful company out there, they would have one common denominator - lots of customers buying their products or services.
